It is almost time players, and wow has this journey been a long one! Just incase you forgot what we were waiting for, it’s big, it’s blue, and IT IS FAST!

In just a few days, all guests will be able to enter the grid at TRON: Lightcycle/Run. Whether you’re Team Blue, Orange, or Green, all players will able to board a Lightcycle and be “digitized into the world of TRON” starting April 4th, 2023.

Starting Tuesday morning, guests will be able to join a Virtual Queue, just like they have for the last few big opening attractions (i.e Rise of The Resistance, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind). The queues will open at 7am and another at 1pm, although you will have to be within the Magic Kingdom to score that 1 o’clock reservation.

Once your boarding group is called, check in NO LATER than an hour after called. To ensure you get to ride, make sure you are within your reservation time. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has a LOT more leeway, so do NOT treat these two virtual queues the same. Turn on notifications for your My Disney Experience app so you don’t miss it as the accommodations will be limited or there will be none at all. Remember, different park, different rules.

There will be test Lightcycles before entering The Grid, but they can accommodate if you need a bigger ride. At the ends of some of the car trains, they’ve put little “buggies” for a smooth, sitting up style ride for those who cannot ride on the bike. The height requirement for TRON: Lightcycle/Run is 48in so keep that in mind when you are making those reservations the morning you’re planning on joining the queue.

In full disclosure, I’ve ridden this ride over 10 times and I can honestly say it is a great addition to the Magic Kingdom. It may be a little shorter than I hoped, but it is still a thrilling, dark ride with drops, a 0-60 mph launch, and a killer Daft Punk playlist!
