Packing Fiasco

Happy MONDAY!

Hope your weekend was fulfilling and relaxing! I am back with a PART TWO of my packing procedures and such. Ready?? Lets jump back in!

Above, I have pictured the cubes I use to pack the suitcases. I found them on Amazon for under $20, which was on the lower side but still good quality. (I will link them down below.) My luggage is all rose gold so the navy and burgundy colors are perfect matches, although it isn’t a necessity.

There are three clothing cubes, 15 inch, 12 inch, and 10 inch and three laundry bags, 13 inch, 10 inch, and 9.5 inch, each, as mentioned previously, to keep all things from sliding around in the suitcases. There are also three suitcases; 20 inch, 24 inch, and 28 inch.

AND Yes, I use all three!

The 28 inch suitcase is the one I use for my luggage and the 24 inch for Z. He usually has a little more than I do, but there is still room in both. The 20 inch is for extras on the way there OR the way back; meaning souvenirs, keepsakes, and my Simba plush/blanket.

Starting with the clothing cubes, I assign the larger items to the 15 inch cube. Jeans, shorts, sweaters, and/or dresses. I never fold, always roll so that more fits. The 12 inch cube is packed with tees, button downs, and/or tank tops. Again, roll the clothes for more room. There is usually an iron and ironing board in the room incase you wrinkle from rolling. (I bring my own, shocking I know) In the smallest cube, the 10 inch, pajamas, compression shorts, and anything else that doesn’t fit in the 15 or 12 inch. As for the laundry bags, the two smaller ones being the 10 and 9.5 inch for socks and underwear. The 13 inch burgundy one is for the swimsuits and the 13 inch navy one is for outfits for the stops along the way there and back.

There is a separate bag for cosmetics and toiletries that hangs off a hook for easy access that is packed in the small suitcase along with the spare clothing bag for the trip. Having things in the smaller suitcase makes the quick stops easier! I learned that the hard way. 🙂

There will be a PART THREE to this since I still have to go over our park bag and camera bag. In that post I will also post pictures of how I pack it all into the suitcases. It is definitely a game of Tetris!

Until next time, comment below what your favorite way to pack is!
