2 1/2 To Go !

It’s THURSDAY! How has your week been this far? Pretty decent I hope!

So today, I thought we would talk about some of my tips for a smooth trip to and from Walt Disney World. These details are ONLY from my point of view with all the resources I acquired over the last few years, so this may or may not pertain to you!

Since this will be a lot of information, I will be making this a 2 parter!

Planning a Disney trip is a very relaxing thing for me to do. I start MONTHS in advance with all the printable planners I can find from Etsy; packing, things to get, reservations, etc. I have found the best one by SeeYouAtTheCastle. They have templates for Disneyland, WDW, DLP, and just an over view of the California and Orlando Parks (so you can include Sea World, Universal, Etc.).

About 5 months before the trip, I start getting things ready. Things I use to pack include travel packing cubes, small plastic baggies, a few freezer ziplock, and plenty of sticky notes. Now, I have two separate packing lists for Z and myself PLUS two separate backpack packing lists, so I use the list of items above for ALL pieces.

Considering I usually take more things than Z, I have the larger suitcase and bigger backpack. I start by going through my closet and putting together outfits I believe will work on the drive down and back or in the parks. Once I have pulled what I need for the length of time we are away from home, I write it all down. Shoes, underwear, shirts, you name it; it’s written down.

After I get it written down from both closets, I move on to the suitcase packing process. This is started 5 months out but 2 months works too, depending on what is being packed.

So we keep things organized, Z has navy packing cubes and I have burgundy ones, plus I’m a freak for color coordination. Each of us has a 6 piece set including 3 clothing cubes (small, medium, and large) and 3 laundry bags, which I use for socks, undies, and swimsuits. Our toiletries bag holds both of our necessities and it able to hang off a hook. Even though there are things available at the resort, we choose to take our own shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and loofa.

In the next part of this, I will show you how I have things packed in cubes and talk about how I get it all in the suitcases. Plus packing the backpacks and beach bag. I hope you enjoyed this and continue to follow along with my tips and tricks for a successful and stress free packing process and trip to Walt Disney World!
